Canton Fair Phase One Recap: Small Boss and the Materials Behind New, Green and Smart
From PVC compounds to custom profiles and eco plastic-steel sheet piles, the conversations at our booth returned to one practical theme: connecting materials, processing and real applications.
The first phase of the 140th Canton Fair concluded in Guangzhou on October 19. For five days, global buyers came to the venue with practical questions about materials, manufacturing and long-term cooperation. Publicly reported fair data stated that, as of October 19, more than 189,000 overseas buyers from 214 countries and regions had attended, up 13.3 percent year on year.
Buyers brought real requirements, not just a request for a price
New and returning visitors stopped at the Small Boss booth throughout the fair. Some brought product requirements to discuss PVC compound direction. Some compared wall thickness, section and surface on custom PVC profile samples. Others discussed river-management, flood-control and new-energy supporting projects, asking how vinyl sheet pile materials are evaluated for wet and corrosive environments.
The languages were different, but the decision questions were very similar: Is the material suitable for the real process and application? Can the product be reviewed against technical conditions? How will samples and later supply be confirmed? Can long-term cooperation be built on clear specifications, acceptance and delivery conditions?
“New, green and smart” starts with application-level discussion

Green and high-performance materials were frequent themes at the fair. For Small Boss, those terms must lead back to the buyer’s actual product, installation location and engineering conditions. Whether a material is suitable, how it should be sampled and which properties or documents should be reviewed must be defined project by project.
Reading material directions through real applications
At the fair, “new, green and smart” was not a matter of placing unrelated products together. PVC compound direction needs to relate to the finished product and forming process. The carbon-fiber-reinforced rigid PVC profile display opened discussion around lightweight construction, acid and alkali environments and section applications. Eco plastic-steel sheet piles led back to actual conditions in river-management and flood-control work.
Visitors therefore saw more than material samples. They saw a route from requirement discussion to material and structural consideration, sample validation and subsequent coordination. Specific performance, suitability and supply conditions remain subject to agreed technical requirements, samples and project information.
Small Boss is listed as one of the drafting organizations for T/CSPSTC 180-2025, Technical Specification for the Application of Plastic-Steel Sheet Piles. Participation in industry technical work does not replace project-specific confirmation for a selected model, batch or application. Performance, suitability, sample approval, lead time and commercial terms must be confirmed against the project information and agreed conditions.

From October 23 to 27, phase two of the Canton Fair will continue in Guangzhou under the theme “Quality Home Life.” Small Boss will be at Booth 12.2H40 with PVC extrusion profiles, ecological vinyl sheet piles and other materials for home, building and outdoor-engineering applications.
